Thanks to the ACNH 1.9.0 update, the Nature Day (Earth Day) event return to Animal Crossing New Horizons again, which bring Leif and Redd back, as well as new their special collections. What’s more, hedges and new items are available!
Nature Day is starting from April 15th and running through to April 22nd, 2021
AC: New Horizons' latest in-game event, Nature Day, is now well underway. However, this year, nature day plays out slightly differently. In the previous year, Tom Nook held a Nature Day event with limited time Nook Miles+ challenges as a way to encourage players to think about nature. Hedge DIY recipes also were rewarded by Tom Nook for the duration of the event, which allows players to create their own hedge mazes and otherwise decorate their island. While nature day is being somewhat refreshed this year and this aspect of nature day has been removed.
ACNH Nature Day Item - Cool Globe
Between 4/15 - 4/22, the classic Cool Globe will be available to purchase from the Nook Stop at Resident Services center or Nook Shopping app on Nook Phone. You can buy the special nature day themed items to commemorate the event.
Surely, Leif will be back to your island and selling all sorts of Gardening goodies, so it is a good time to plant some flowers, trees, and shrubs on your island!
As the challenges won’t return for Nature Day 2021, how to get Hedge DIY Recipe in Animal Crossing: New Horizons? No worries, players can still obtain the Hedge DIY Recipe from Leif by purchasing items from him on three separate days.
Not only is the ACNH hedge DIY recipe simple to earn, but it's also incredibly simple to make in a workbench. Build a Animals: New Horizons hedge requires only common materials that are easy to find:
10 x clump of weeds
5 x tree branches
2 x stone
Soon you will have plenty of Animal Crossing: New Horizons hedges to put to good use on your island on Nintendo Switch.
By combining the materials required for hedge construction, you will produce a total of 10 hedge blocks. These blocks can be arranged in a row to create hedge fences, exactly as seen for other types of fences. Have you already tried to build some? Let us know in the comments!
If that sounds like your thing, then go the route with our Animal Crossing Hedge DIY Recipe Guide for Nintendo Switch. It’s worth noting that the Hedge Fence actually changes its appearance based on the current season on your island, and the funniest using of the Hedges is building up a maze with them!
