A brand new ACNH update 20th Anniversary is coming on April the 14th, could we see some kind of celebration within ACNH to mark this milestone? Here we are going to discuss about the possibilities of the Anniversary update happening for Animal Crossing New Horizons, characters, new villagers, game features & upgrades, more.
ACNH 20th Anniversary Update 2021
Animal Crossing first came out in 2001 which is such a long time ago. Now it feels like on April the 14th, and back then, it was called the bots no more and it actually came out for the Nintendo 64. Most of you might know it as a GameCube game that's because it was actually ported from the Nintendo 64 to the GameCube and that's the one that most people know. But the very first Animal Crossing game ever came out in Japan on this date almost 20 years ago. Now let’s take a look at the possibilities of Animal Crossing's 20th Anniversary update on April the 14th.
Characters & Villagers Of ACNH Anniversary
- Rover: Rover is kind of an interesting one because Rover did actually appear during May Day in Animal Crossing New Horizons last year, but he had a very small role then, it was only like a tiny little cameo. If you got to the end of the May Day tour, you would get to meet him and talk with him and get his briefcase, but aside from that this really iconic character has like almost no role in Animal Crossing New Horizons.
- Resetti: He does the helicopter but makes no physical appearance.
- Tortimer: Tortimer is an elderly tortoise, his skin is yellow, and he has a long white goatee sticking out of his chin. But he’s not here at all.
- Joan: She is a special visitor who comes to the player's town each Sunday morning to sell turnips. She is a brown boar and has orangish brown cheeks.
All of these different characters who were so present and so iconic in the original Animal Crossing who are missing from ACNH. So if there was gonna be some kind of update for the game's Anniversary whether that is New Horizons' first Anniversary or April's 20th Anniversary, they should bring back some of these very iconic characters who are still missing from the series.
Bunny Day
According to the ACNH events calendar, Bunny Day takes place starting on April 1, some information of that may be incorporated in the ACNH Spring update to provide hints for players. Bunny Day is going to change in New Horizons, we can expect new Bunny Day-themed ACNH items for your island and the costumes or clothes to dress up.
New Game Features and Upgrades
If Nintendo wishes to keep players interested in the game, enhanced gameplay features such as a new lifestyle and more shop updates will be added. The most anticipated features in April's Anniversary update include the ability to plant more fruits and vegetables, the addition of new cooking DIY recipes, and more building upgrades.
More About Anniversary Update 2021
The first Anniversary of ANCH is adding an item in the promotional tab or maybe the seasonal items tab, maybe this could be like a little mini box art of the game so you could get that in there, maybe it could be a model of Tom Nook or Isabel or something else related to that or maybe they could even add a bunch of items to celebrate the Anniversary like they did for the pocket camp crossover. These crossover items that came with the games launched to sort of connect with pocket camp was a really great idea.
