How to Get More DIYs in ACNH?

1. To begin, you should obtain recipes from Timmy and Tommy, as they have a variety of recipes that can be used for different types of decorations; be sure to obtain the DIY for Beginners, Test Your DIY Skills, and Wildest Dreams DIY recipe books will include things you'll eventually need to help furnish your homes for incoming villagers, as well as nice mini DIY workshops you can set up in your own home to easily design your own interior decorations. Animal Crossing bells can be used to buy the three DIY recipe books from Nook's Cranny.

2. You want to advance Tom Nook's tasks, he wants you to help welcome three new villagers, and he'll provide you with a plethora of recipes to do so, including items made from local fruits and flowers.

3. Some recipes aren't only taught from a card; they can also be learned by finding unique items. For example, digging up clams can teach you how to make bait, and talking to a villager after getting stung can lead to a free medicine recipe.

4. You can learn some recipes by fishing up garbage, which may help you get over the disappointment of not catching the super rare fish.

5. Always look for a message bottle on your daily walks along the beach, as these will always have a DIY recipe for you to add to your list.

6. When you know your villagers are at home, you can always check in on them. You'll always find them busy crafting their own products, and if you speak to them, they'll gladly share the recipe for whatever they're working on. Check back a few times during the day to see if one or more villagers are doing this.

7. Once you've unlocked your town's campsite, visiting villagers will most likely ask for a souvenir of something made in your town; if they ask for something you can't create yet, they'll gladly give you the recipe; this also means you can compel a villager to appear.

8. Keeping an eye out for balloons is a perfect way to get more DIY recipes; they tend to come in from the sea every 15 minutes or so and can include a random item; even if you don't get a new recipe, you can still get something good just by standing on either the left or right side of the island.
