In this guide, we are going to show you the glitch that everyone can do - how to place trees, bushes, flowers, seeds on stone paths, and pavement without modding, this trick will work with any plantable object.
The thing about planting trees when you're using pavement and other things like that is, normally if you wanted to plant ACNH trees inside of this area, you would have to have one patch of grass down - it really shows all of the grass on the outside. So we are going to show you how you can plant trees, bushes, flowers, pitfall seeds on the pavement without the grass on the outside showing. Especially for city core islands and things like that that are using a lot of these in-game paths, this trick is really going to come in handy to plant different trees, bushes, and flowers on the pavement without having to have the big grass patch in the middle of it.
Step 1. Get A Moving Kit In Your Pocket
All you have to do is you have to get a moving kit in your pockets for one of the houses or buildings. Go to the residence center and ask Tom Nook to move one of your villagers by select “Let’s talk infrastructure”, you don't actually have to move them but you need a moving kit.
Step 2. Find Spot For Planting
Then you're going to select the spot for the moving kit, actually where you want to plant the trees or flowers or whatever it is on the in-game paths.
Step 3. Imagine & Rethink The Building On The Spot
Place the building and you're going to imagine it in that spot, But then you want to make sure that after you imagine it, you select "I need to rethink it" so you don't actually move your villager.
Step 4. Dig in The Spot and Plant
After you have selected that you need to rethink it, this path becomes diggable for some reason, you can pull out one of your shovels and it's going to let you dig in the spot and you can plant whatever you want to on this pathing. If you want to have some fun you can also put a pitfall there.
Unfortunately, you can't do this glitch on a custom path, so what you can do instead is just place the custom paths back on after.
