Golden roses are the result of hard work between perfecting your island and successfully hybridizing your red roses. These roses require a specific tool and above all a very specific technique to be able to transform into a golden rose. Here is the detail of all the steps to follow to perfect your garden with gold rose in Animal Crossing New Horizons:
Step 1: Have the golden watering can
Without this tool, you will not be able to grow a golden rose on your island. Here are the different steps in brief to obtain this fabulous watering can:

Have a gold nugget to craft the tool
Step 2: Plant red roses in cross line to have black roses
Plant red roses in a mesh to create black rose plants and remember to water them (except if it's raining). Once the black roses have bloomed, dig them up so that you can plant them in the same way as red roses.
Step 3: Plant black roses in cross line to have golden roses
Cross the black roses in mesh, in the same way as the red roses, and water your plants with the golden watering can. Without this tool, you will not be able to obtain these rare roses. The next day, you will be able to see golden rose buds.
Golden roses can be sold for 1000 Animal Crossing bells in the Nook store, they can also be used as a hair accessory or as an indoor/outdoor decoration.
