You've finally settled on your island in Animal Crossing New Horizons, but you think it's still a little too deserted? Do you want to bring more villagers to your island or even receive visits from other animals? In this ACNH guide, we will explain some steps to invite villagers to your island so that they can be part of your daily life.
1. Get Plot of Land for a New Villager
Before all, you should know that only 10 construction lots are available on your island. This means that you can only accommodate 10 villagers at a time.
Now that your 10 villagers are properly settled, you will notice that they can move whenever they want. But if one resident moves, how do you get someone else to take their place? There are several solutions:
Waiting for a villager to point randomly at the tip of his nose, without doing anything (it can take days!)
Wait for a villager to come to the campsite and ask them to move in
Visit mystery islands with nook miles tickets and ask the local of your choice to come to your home
Use Amiibos cards to bring the villager of your choice to the Campsite (be careful, it takes several days because you have to bring the inhabitant several times in order to convince him)
Visit the island of a friend who has a resident who moves (the latter will then come to your home)
Below, we detail the best steps.
2. Invite Villagers From Mystery Islands To Your ACNH Island
1) When one of your houses is empty, you can travel to a mystery island to find a new villager
2) Go talk to him and introduce you
Engage in the conversation several times until he says he wants to move to your island
3) If a piece of land is for sale, it will quickly settle on your island
4) If among the list of villagers there is one that caught your eye, then you can buy a lot of Miles Nook Tickets in order to visit several mystery islands until you come across the neighbor of your dreams.
3. Set Up a Campsite On Your Island To Attract Random Visitors
1) After you get the building of Resident Services, ask Tom Nook, "What do I have to do?"
2) He'll tell you about Project K, which involves bringing K.K. Slider to your island
3) Ask him again "What do I have to do?" and he will suggest you set up a campsite to bring in more visitors
4) Once the campsite is set up, visitors will come regularly to visit your island
5) Talk to them to make them want to stay on your island
