1. making your gear have this item affix: x% increased rarity of items found as quickly as possible. 

when you having it, you will get more poe currency and more rare items easily and quickly, you can sell these rare items you farmed to vendors, get more poe currency also. you must have a question, how i can get this affix. if you are lucky enough, maybe you can get a gear which has this affix from item drops. if you not, you can use the orb of alteration to make a magic item with new random modifiers. i think you try it for some times you would get it.if you don't have a magic item, you can use an orb of transmutatoin to get it.  i give you an adivce, you can buy these orbs from poe items store online.

2. using scroll of wisdom to identify an item.

no matter rate items which you want to use or sell, you should do it. if you want to use a poe weapon or a armor, you need identify it at first. if you sell an item not be identified, you just only get a little fragmentations, if you do it you can get more fragmentations.

3. picking up any item which is 3 colors and linked together.

after you selling it to vendors, you can get a chromatic orb which can reforget the colors of sockets on an item.

4. advices about values of intelligence, strength and dexterity.

of course you can use skill points to improve these values, but you will lost some chances to get big skill. you can buy some normal amulet, which can improve the values of strength and so onp.

5. find masters to craft the chose modifier in your hideout.

for example you can meet jun who is veiled master, if you had some items which is hidenout, you can get more affixes.

you can find 5 master to upgrade your gears.

6. talk about skill gems

this point is very important in the early game. in my opinion you can select another 2 type of active poe skill gems except main skills. the first skill likes flame dash or leap slam, which can make you removing to another place. sometime you need this kind of skills to protect you not die. the other skill is trap(bear trap) or a skill like a trap(frost bomb), these skills are very powerful, but the disadvantages are also very obvious, they need more time to cast and cool down. you can use them to protect you to not die frequently.

7. upgrade flasks

you just need spend a little path of exile currency to improve flasks which will get more affixes, same as the picture below. if you don't like its affixes, you can use orb of alteration to change it.
